PNE plans €1.6bn investment in renewables over five years

German renewable power company PNE will invest €1.6bn in its own portfolio over the next five years to fund a massive scale-up of renewable deployment.

The investment will be a combination of external project financing and its own funds, the company said.

During the same five-year period, PNE AG said it also intends to expand its renewables pipeline to 20GW, which will be comprised of 10GW offshore projects, 2GW offshore projects and 8GW of solar PV.

The company said its ambition was to produce around 1.5GW of electricity generation from its own operations by 2025, from 283MW today.
