Nordex continues Croatian wind push with new turbine order

Nordex has agreed to supply and install 10 of its N149/4.X turbines on 105-metre tubular steel towers, to a 50MW project in Gračac, Croatia.

Installation of the project, in Zadar county, will begin in summer 2023, with commissioning scheduled for the end of 2023.

Nordex will then provide service for 20 years, with an option to extend for a further 10 years.

The manufacturer, which supplied 25 N149/5.X turbines for a wind farm near the Dalmatian coast earlier this year, did not disclose the name of the client or project for its latest order.

According to Windpower Intelligence, the research and data division of Windpower Monthly, Croatia currently has just over 1GW of operational wind capacity.
