RWE wins with zero-subsidy bid in German offshore wind auction – but set to lose project to Vattenfall

RWE has won the rights to build a 980MW offshore wind farm in the German North Sea, having been successful in a tender with a zero-subsidy bid. But Swedish utility Vattenfall has confirmed it will exercise its "step-in rights" to build the wind farm.
