Jera planning 520MW offshore wind farm - Foresight acquires two operational wind farms

Japanese utility Jera is planning to build an up-to 520MW offshore wind farm off Ishikari Bay on the west coast of Japan’s northernmost island of Hokkaido.

The developer has submitted an environmental impact statement to the ministry of economy, trade and industry for the project, which could include up to 65 turbines with power ratings of 8-14MW and an energy storage system.
