The 25MW WindFloat Atlantic WindFloat Atlantic (25MW) Offshoreoff Viana do Castelo, Portugal, Europe Click to see full details comprises three MHI Vestas V164-8.4 turbines — the first of which was installed in October 2019, the second in January 2020, and the final one in June.

The turbines are installed on Principle Power’s ballasted, triangular, semi-submersible foundations 20km from the north-west Portuguese coast in water depths of 100 metres.

Once fully connected and commissioned, the wind farm will generate enough energy to power 60,000 households.
