It installed the first of five E-147 EP5/4.3MW turbines at Energiquelle’s 21.5MW Paltusmäki project in Ostrobothnia, western Finland.
All turbines will be installed on modular steel towers at a hub height of 132 metres, Enercon told Windpower Monthly.
Enercon’s EP5 platform is based on Lagerwey’s designs and features direct-drive technology. It acquired the Dutch manufacturer in 2017.
The platform also includes a variant with a 160-metre rotor and capacity of at least 4.6MW, and has a maximum hub height of 166 metres.
