Goldwind launched its new GW155-4.5MW turbine at the recent China Wind Power 2019 exhibition, making the product available to the global market for the first time.

Goldwind released two new turbine models to the market at the China Wind Power conference and exhibition in Beijing

The leading Chinese manufacturer also launched a new GW136-4.8MW turbine to be sold initially in just China.

The GW155 permanent magnet direct-drive (PMDD) turbine fits into the company’s 4MW "smart wind turbine" product platform.

Goldwind first launched a 4MW+ turbine in November 2017 with a medium wind speed variant rated at 4-4.2MW with a 136-meter rotor. This model was awarded type certification by DNV GL at the conference.

Its new G155 model is designed for low wind speed sites and will be offered with hub heights of 90, 110, and 140 metres.

Elsewhere at China Wind Power, Goldwind launched eight training courses in association with the Global Wind Organisation.
