Co-developers Australia Offshore Energy and Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP) will work with human resources service provider Atlas Professionals on the study.
They will analyse the future availability of the labour and vessels needed during the development, construction and maintenance phases of the planned 250-turbine wind farm.
Through the study, they will assess whether available workers need further training and whether they miss out on suitable vessels, lost to competition from other offshore projects.
Australia Offshore Energy and CIP plan for their Star of the South project to consist of 250 turbines installed in a 574km2 area off the Gippsland coast in Victoria, south-east Australia.
Earlier this year, the developers were granted an exploration licence for the project, allowing them to assess wind resources and seabed conditions at the site.
