The Danish-Japanese manufacturer is in line to provide three V164-8.3MW turbines for the site — marking the entry of its V164 platform in the US.
EDF, which is co-developing Nautilus alongside US developer Fishermen’s Energy, aims to commission the wind farm in 2020.
The three-turbine site is fully permitted, but New Jersey’s Board of Public Utilities (BPU) is reviewing its eligibility for an offshore renewable energy credit (OREC) agreement.
Tristan Grimbert, CEO of EDF Renewables North America, said: "We are pleased to work with MHI Vestas to deliver the key component to our first offshore project that will deliver clean energy and economic benefits in the form of supply chain and jobs to the region."
