The company was also contracted by GE Renewable Energy to deliver a crane and install the 158.5MW Cibuk 1 wind farm in the north of the country.
Its new local business unit in the country will support the company during completion of the Cibuk 1 project as well as during "future projects", GWS added.
Cibuk 1 will comprise 57 of GE’s 2.75-120 turbines. Pre-assembly started at the site in November 2017, GWS stated, and installation is expected to be completed in the third quarter of 2018.
Serbia has just three operational projects, according to Windpower Intelligence, the research and data division of Windpower Monthly. They have a combined capacity of 24.5MW.
