GE wins 105MW deal in Serbia

SERBIA: GE will supply the turbines for the 104.5MW Blacksmith project in the Vojvodina region of northeast Serbia.

Developer Enlight Renewable Energy has ordered 38 GE 2.75-120 turbines, which will operate with hub heights of 110 metres.

The project is scheduled for commissioning in 2019. A 15-year full service agreement is part of the deal.

The turbines will be manufactured in GE’s facility in Salzbergen, Germany with GE subsidiary LM Wind Power providing the blades from plants in Spain and Poland.

GE is also contracted to supply 2.75MW turbines to Masdar’s 158MW Cibuk 1 project in Vojvodina.

Serbia has set a target of 500MW of wind power by 2020.
