German firm Wiking Helikopter provides aerial transfers for some of the largest offshore wind projects in the North Sea.

As well as transferring engineers to turbines to carry out maintenance, it also performs emergency rescue should the worse happen at sea.

The group provides services to Dong Energy's Borkum Riffgrund 1 and 2, and Gode Wind projects, as well as Innogy's Nordsee Ost site.

This month, the company entered the UK sector, with a contract from Siemens Gamesa to provide hoist operations at Innogy's Galloper offshore project under construction 30km off England's east coast.
