The order for its V110-2MW turbines, optimised to 2.2MW output, includes hub heights of 137 metres, equals the record hub height in the Chinese market, the manufacturer said.
Vestas did not disclose the name of the customer. The turbines are due to be delivered and the project commissioned in the first half of 2018.
The reduced use of steel in the twoers means they weigh less than those usually used in the Chinese market, Vestas said.
The manufacturer will also maintain the turbines for two years as part of the contract.
