The manufacturer will supply the 3.45MW model, optimised to 3.6MW, as well as its V110-2.0MW turbines to an unspecified 47-turbine project.
Vestas’ turbines will make up 136MW of the 150MW site, but, according to the manufacturer, "includes previously purchased PTC (production tax credit) components".
The V136-3.45MW model features the large diameter steel tower, and is designed for mid- and low-wind sites.
It was unveiled at the Husum Wind event in 2015, and has since been ordered for sites in Finland, Mexico and Italy, and is also being marketed in China.
Delivery of the V136-3.45MW and V110-2.0MW turbines is expected to begin in the third quarter of 2018, Vestas stated, with commissioning of the project planned for the fourth quarter.
