Next year, the manufacturer will provide four 3.2M122 NES turbines to add to the 10.25MW WP Durnkrut II wind farm and two of the MM100 model to enlarge the 4.6MW Hipples II project — both in the state of Lower Austria.

In 2019, Senvion will provide four 3.4M140 turbines at the Poysdorf-Wilfersdorf V wind farm, also in Lower Austria, before installing ten 3.2M114 at Prinzendorf III in Upper Austria from 2022.

The agreement covers the Senvion supplying and installing the turbines and carrying out long-term service and maintenance at the four sites.

The company has supplied Austrian wind energy company Windkraft Simonsfeld with 22 turbines for four -projects over the last five years.

"With a combination of weak and strong wind turbines from the Senvion porfolio at different tower heights, we help Simonsfeld realise the most efficient solutions for all four locations," said Jochen Magerfleisch, managing director of Senvion Central.

As well as enlarging the four projects with Senvion turbines, Windkraft Simonsfeld will also expand its 26MW 13-turbine Windpark Kreuzstetten IV project with the installatin of seven extra turbines in 2018, it announced.

Martin Steininger, board member at Simonsfeld, said: "With the planned electricity production from the new wind parks, we will be able to increase our total production by more than half in the coming years.

"This will enable us to make a contribution to the expansion of renewable energies and climate change."
