Vestas will deliver 45 V110 2MW turbines, with a power mode option to give each machine an output of 2.2MW, the Danish manufacturer said.

Delivery at the Shandianhe project in Guyuan County of Hebei is expected to take place in late 2017.

Vestas said it has delivered 900MW worth of turbines to Datang over the past ten years.

"The project takes Vestas' announced order intake in China to almost 600MW in 2017, which underlines the progress that our customer relationships and wind energy offerings are driving," said Kebao Yang, president of Vestas China.

In February, the company reorganised its Asia-Pacific sales office, splitting it in two, with one focused on China, led by Yang, and the second based in Singapore operating for the rest of the region.
