SGRE won the order from developer Fuerza y Energia Limpa de Tizimin. It will supply 36 G114-2.1MW turbines to the Tizimin project, which is due online next year.
The manufacturer will also service the machines for five years.
The turbines will be installed on a concrete plinth, a new technique for foundations according to SGRE, which increases the hub height by five metres.
"This brings down the facility's overall cost of energy and delivers design flexibility in terms of tailoring the blueprints for the terrain," SGRE said.
Mexico is targeting to source 35% of its electricity from renewable sources by 2024. SGRE – mostly pre-merged Gamesa – has installed almost 2.2GW in the country.
