SGRE wins 118MW Turkish order

TURKEY: Siemens-Gamesa Renewable Energy (SGRE) has been awarded the contract to supply 36 3.3MW turbines for two projects in Konya province in the Central Anatolia region.

Developer Sancak Enerji has ordered 20 of the Gamesa-developed G132-3.3MW turbine for the 66MW Baglar wind farm, and a further 16 for the 52MW Ardicli project.

Delivery is scheduled for Q2 2018, with commissioning expected the following year. The deal marks the first order for this turbine in Europe, and includes a five-year maintenance agreement.

The nacelles will be made at SGRE’s Agreda factory in Spain, but the towers and blades will be manufactured by Turkish suppliers.
