The portfolio of wind projects adds to EDF Energy Renewables' 1GW in the pipeline and 319MW of operating sites.

Included in the acquisition are three 100MW sites with construction consent: West Benhar, Camilty, and Cloich Forest.

One further project, Heathland Forest, is awaiting consent, while the remaining seven projects are in the development stages, EDF ER said.

According to the company, the move was part of the group's strategy to double its renewable energy capacity in 15 years to 2030.

EDF Energy Renewables CEO Matthieu Hue said: "We are very pleased to be adding these projects to our portfolio. This deal underlines our ambitions to develop our business further and to expand the number of wind farm projects we are developing".
