Enbridge has partnered with developer EnBW again, after acquiring a 49.9% stake in the 497MW Hohe See project, planned for an area close to the Albatros site.

Albatros was given a final investment decision by EnBW in early May. It will comprise 16 Siemens SWT-7.0-154 turbines when it is completed by 2019.

EnBW said both sites will be installed jointly in the North Sea. This will create project synergies and reduce costs. Hohe See will also feature the Siemens 7MW machine.

The project sites are close to the planned area for EnBW's 900MW He Dreiht project, which secured a zero-subsidy licence in April's auction.
