Make will become part of the Wood Mackenzie Group, owned by Verisk, a commercial intelligence service for natural resources.
The value of the transaction was undisclosed.
The acquisition of Make follows Wood Mackenzie's takeover of Greentech Media in 2016 to expand the group's data and research capabilities in power and renewables.
"Make's expertise in wind and solar power complements both Greentech Media's expertise and our own existing practice," said Wood Mackenzie president Neal Anderson.
In November, Make downgraded its global ten-year wind capacity growth forecast by 4% as political changes in China, the US and Canada damaged confidence.
