Bladena appoints former GE offshore CEO

DENMARK: Blade specialist Bladena has appointed former GE offshore wind CEO Anders Soe Jensen as its new chairman.

Soe Jensen has joined the Bladena board will take up his new role as chairman from 1 May, the company announced.

In November 2016, he was replaced as offshore wind CEO at GE Renewable Energy by company veteran John Lavelle.

Soe Jensen remained at GE as offshore wind commercial and business development leader before taking his new role at Bladena.

Formed in 2011, as a spin-off from the Technical University of Denmark (DTU), Bladena provides blade design services.

"I look forward to getting down to business in an exciting company with great international potential. I will draw on my experience in the industry and establish contacts in the right places with the right people and develop Bladena's strategy," said Soe Jensen.

Soe Jensen was vice-president of offshore wind at Alstom, prior to GE's takeover of the French firm's grid and power business in 2015.
