Vestas will deliver 12 V126-3.45MW turbines to the Novotroitsk project, with delivery in the third quarter of this year.
It is the firm's second order in the country since it restarted activities there at the end of 2016. Vestas halted its operations in Ukraine during the political tensions of the past few years.
According to Windpower Intelligence, the research and data division of Windpower Monthly, Vestas has installed 237.3MW in Ukraine to date.
In 2014, Vestas' then-president of central Europe, Christoph Vogel, told Windpower Monthly he was watching the instability in the Ukraine "very carefully". Vogel left the manufactuer in August 2015 for personal reasons.
In December 2016, Vestas won a 21MW order and service contract from Karpatenwind for six V126-3.45MW turbines. The machines are due to be installed in Q2 2017.
