The manufacturer wants to recruit workers for its sites in Nakskov and Lindø, southern Denmark, to produce blades and nacelles for its V164 platform.
MHI Vestas said the move follows its efforts to ramp up production by hiring 70 new workers at its blade site on the Isle of Wight, UK.
The announcement comes nine months after MHI Vestas announced an addition of 140 jobs at Nakskov to meet demand.
By adding over 400 employees in this wave of recruitment, MHI Vestas said it would double the number of personnel at the two factories in Denmark.
"The additional positions are a positive reflection of the market's increasing interest in the 8MW platform and MHI Vestas in general. They are good for the communities of Nakskov and Lindø, and good for Denmark as we continue to develop regional competence centres with highly skilled employees," said MHI Vestas CEO Jens Tommerup.
The announcement is at odds with other manufacturers in Denmark in 2017. Both Siemens and foundations supplier Bladt Industries have announced job cuts at their Danish sites.
Siemens said it was closing its blade facility in Engesvang, west Denmark, affecting 400 jobs as the site was no longer suitable to support the global wind market.
Bladt CEO Jan Kjaersgaard told Windpower Monthly the jobs cuts at its Aalborg site, northern Denmark, was "the nature of a project-based business".
