Plans for the 20MW project have already been confirmed by the Lviv regional authorities.
According to Rostislav Zamlynsky, first deputy chairman of the Lviv regional state administration, the initial investment for the project will total approximately €20 million, with the possibility of an increase during the next stages of the project.
In accordance with the agreement, signed between the Lviv authorities and Atlas Global Energy, the second stage of the project will see the capacity of the plant increased to 50MW.
The first stage is expected to be completed in 2018.
The majority of energy that will be produced by the new plant will be supplied to consumers in west Ukraine.
