Goldwind lands biggest US order to date

UNITED STATES: Chinese manufacturer and the world leading OEM in 2015 has been awarded a 1.87GW supply deal in the US

Goldwind will supply turbines to Viridis Eolia for its multi-phase project in Wyoming, northwest US. 

The complex will use Goldwind's 2.5MW and 3MW direct drive turbines. The first installement of the agreement will see Goldwind deliver turbines to the 32.5MW Little Medicine Bow wind project, 

The remaining eight projects are set for completion between 2018 and 2022, Goldwind said. 

"Our partnership with Viridis is another step in our five-year strategy to capitalise on the robust growth of the US wind market," said Goldwind Americas CEO David Halligan.

Viridis is hoping to export the wind energy from the nine projects to western US states, including California.
