Vattenfall said it is investing €5 billion in renewables. Construction at the 92.4MW European Offshore Wind Deployment Centre off Aberdeen, Scotland, and the 400MW Horns Rev 3 site off Denmark is due to begin, meaning the developer wishes to expand its 600-strong workforce.
The firm is looking to fill posts in its commercial and technical areas, including project management and site operations.
"The energy transition is already well under way and we need to build up new competencies and recruit new talent to help us achieve our ambitious goals," said Vattenfall Wind's head of human resources Lamin Faye.

In its financial report in July, Vattenfall said net sales from its wind business in Q2 decreased by SEK 0.1 billion (€10.5 million), which it blamed on "less favourable" wind conditions.
This impacted on Vattenfall's wind unit's underlying profit, which fell from SEK 152 million (€16 million) in Q2 2015 to a loss of SEK 108 million (€11.4 million), which Vattenfall blamed on "lower production revenues, higher depreciation associated with the commissioning of new wind farms, and higher project planning and repair costs".
