GE invests in 200MW Indian site

INDIA: GE has agreed to invest $31 million to support the development of Mytrah Energy's 200MW project in southeast India.

Mytrah Energy has 877.9NW of wind capacity across India

The funding was agreed between Mytrah subsidiary Mytrah Vayu and GE investment vehicle Guayama PR Holdings.

It will support the development of a 200MW project in Andhra Pradesh, southeast India.

Mytrah Energy owns and operates 877.9MW of wind in India across 15 projects.

Its projects mostly comprise Suzlon or Gamesa turbines as GE has to date struggled to find a foothold in the world's fifth largest market.
