Gamesa said it would supply 170 G114-2MW and 60 G97-2MW turbines, its two most popular models, to seven projects for "several customers".

The firm said the projects are expected to be completed from Q1 2017. Gamesa said it is also undertaking supply, installation and operation of the projects for most of the developers.

The deals will help seal Gamesa's market-leading status in India for yet another year. In its Q1 results, India accounted for 26% of Gamesa's orders.

According to Make Consulting, Gamesa held a 35% market share in India last year. This increased from a 25% share in 2014.

Gamesa's position in India is one of the main attractions for Siemens, which agreed to merge its wind business with its Spain-based rival in June.

According to Gamesa, Make is predicting India's wind market to add 30GW by 2025.
