Sandbank
Loading advice: Deutsche Offshore Consult (DOC) is providing developer Vattenfall with studies on lifting processes, 3D modelling and story boards for loading installation vessels and their installation work for the Sandbank offshore project, the company has revealed. The consultancy work began at the end of 2015, it said.
Using DOC's 3D models of the port, offshore installation site, MPI Adventure installation vessel, crane and components, the Vattenfall project team is able to better plan and schedule work, which results in greater efficiency, DOC said. The lifting processes can be simulated to realistically take into account the operational conditions, it added.

Foundations completed: Installation of the last of 72 foundations at the Sandbank offshore wind farm was completed during the night of 12 February 2016, a spokesman for project developer Vattenfall told WPO Intelligence, the research and data division of Windpower Offshore.
Work had been slowed by the rough weather conditions during the winter months, the company had reported on 1st February 2016. 17-Feb-16
Westermost Rough
OFTO O&M: Vessels specialist CWind has won a contract to maintain onshore and offshore assets for 20 years at Dong Energy's 210MW Westermost Rough offshore wind farm.
The company will provide mechanical and electrical services to the substations at the wind farm located 8km off the east coast of England.
Routine inspection, diagnostics and planned maintenance are all covered under the contract, which also includes first response and offshore transport.
First power at Westermost Rough was exported in September 2014, with full power achieved in May 2015. 16-Feb-16
Gode Wind
First power: First power has been exported from Dong Energy's 252MW Gode Wind 2 site, off the German North Sea coast.
Installation of the Siemens 6MW turbines began in August. Dong has been developing Gode Wind 2 alongside Gode Wind 1, and the entire site will comprise 97 turbines and have 582MW nameplate capacity.
Dong holds a 50% share in Gode Wind 2, while the remaining 50% is owned by a consortium of four Danish pension funds. 18-Feb-16
