GERMANY: Former Nordex executive Christoph Seyfarth has been appointed as Senvion's chief operating officer (COO), the third new board member for the manufacturer in six months.

Seyfarth joins from fellow German manufacturer Nordex where he was COO of the nacelle and tower division, according to Senvion. He brings with him his previous experience of working in the purchasing departments at automotive firms Magna International and Mercedes-Benz.

In his new role, Seyfarth will manage Senvion's supply chain, blades, nacelle, operations and order fulfillment divisions. He takes up the role in February.

"I am very much looking forward to working with the experienced management team at Senvion. I am delighted to be given the opportunity to contribute my experience to expanding and developing the company further on its international growth path," he said.

He becomes the third new member of the executive board to join the company in six months, and the third COO in the same period. Former COO Lars Rytter left the firm in a minor reshuffle in July, and the then chief executive officer Andreas Nauen took on the additional role from July until he left the company in December. Nauen was replaced as CEO by Jurgen Geissinger.

In July, Senvion appointed Manav Sharma as its new chief financial officer shortly after US private equity firm Centerbridge Partners completed its acquisition of the manufacturer from Suzlon.
