Vestas will supply 30 V117-3.45MW and two V112-3.45MW high-wind turbines to the Bhlaraidh project near Invermoriston, in the Highlands of Scotland.
The Danish manufacturer will service the turbines for ten years, following the completion of the project in early 2017.
"We are pleased to see the upgraded 3.45MW turbines becoming a part of SSE's renewables energy portfolio", said Vestas' northern Europe president Klaus Steen Mortensen.
Vestas launched the second evolution of its 3MW platform at the EWEA 2015 event in Paris in November. The upgrade boosts its 3.3MW turbines up to 3.45MW.
