Gwynt y Mor
Cable O&M: Maintenance work on Gwynt y Mor's export cables is being carried out from 6 December, when the Stemat Spirit was due to be deployed at the project site in Liverpool Bay.
The export cables serve the 576MW wind farm, which came online in 2014. 04-Dec-15
Block Island
Construction halt: Construction at the 30MW Block Island site has been halted for the winter. All five jacket foundations are in place and the last of the deck platforms was installed on 21 November.
Construction will resume in the spring, when the cables are due for installation.
The GE-Alstom Haliade turbines will be installed next summer and the 30MW project is set to be online by Q4 2016.
It is being developed by Deepwater Wind in Rhode Island Sound, nort-heast US. 08-Dec-15
Amrumbank West
Turbines uprated: Siemens has upgraded the 80 SWT-3.6-120 turbines at E.on's Amrumbank West, raising the wind farm’s capacity from 288MW to 303MW.
The site was officially completed in October, and was the second E.on project to being operation in 2015.
It is connected to the onshore network via the 690MW HelWin2 link, which was officially completed in June 2015. 08-Dec-15
