Acciona Group's wind division helped the company's total earnings increase 14.4% year-on-year to €883 million.
The increase was helped by an additional 168MW of wind capacity, including the 138MW Gouda project in South Africa.
Acciona developed and supplied the project, located in the Western Cape, which wenty online in September.
Acciona's total installed wind capacity at the end of September stood at 7.2GW, up 2.4% from the end of September 2014.
At the start of October, German manufacturer Nordex announced it would acquire Acciona Windpower from the Acciona Group in a €785 million deal.
As part of the deal, the Acciona group will become Nordex's reference shareholder with a 29.9% stake.
The conclusion of the merger is expected by March 2016.
