The new sections of cable were expected to be installed from the end of September, but Energinet has had to move the date back.
A new planned date will be announced soon.
In August, Energinet said a four-kilometre section of the cable, extending from the substation, and a 400-metre section from where it makes landfall, need to be replaced.
This follows an outage in February, which caused a month of downtime for Dong Energy's 400MW project, off Denmark's east coast.
Energinet found after testing the broken cable that the replacements were required to avoid further faults.
Under Danish legislation, Dong will receive compensation for lost production.
