Westermeerwind

Monopiles installed: The Van Oord/Mammoet joint venture completed foundation installation at Westermeerwind on 23 May.

The last of the 48 monopiles was installed two months after the first was put in place. The foundations will support Siemens' 3MW turbines.

The 144MW development — part of the Noordoostpolder wind farm — is being built in the Ijsselmeer, central Netherlands. It is due for completion in February 2016. 27-May-15

Meerwind Sud/Ost

Support vessel: Njord Offshore's Njord Odin has begun its first assignment, at Meerwind Süd/Ost in the German North Sea.

Built by Strategic Marine, the wind-farm support vessel is the first of up to eight new vessels for Njord Offshore.

The 288MW project in the German North Sea was developed by WindMW and became fully connected earlier this year. 28-May-15
