The contract is for 38 N90 2.5MW turbines to go to the Meenadreen Extension wind project in Donegal, in the north of the country. According to Nordex the project will be commissioned in March 2016.
The deal includes a 15-year service agreement.
In a statement, Energia managing director renewables Peter Baillie said: "This is a significant step for Energia Renewables in its development of 300MW in the medium term and towards realising Ireland's ambitious renewable targets."
According to Windpower Monthly's data division, Windpower Intelligence, Nordex has installed around 200MW in Ireland. This includes the 42MW Garracummer project, which also uses the N90 turbine.
The original Meenadreen project was installed in 2003, using four Vestas V52 850kW turbines for a total capacity of 3.4MW.
