The contract is for 25 G114 2MW low wind to go to the Maldonado II wind project in the south-east of the country. According to Gamesa the project will be commissioned in second quarter of 2016.
It includes a five-year service agreement.
Speaking about the deal, Gamesa said it will be the first time the G114 has been installed in the country.
According to Windpower Monthly's data division, Windpower Intelligence, Gamesa has installed 150MW in Uruguay. Projects include the 50MW Talas de Maciel I project, in Flores, which uses G90 2MW turbines.
