Senvion wins 45MW UK orders

UK: Senvion has won four orders from UK developer Blue Energy to provide 45MW of turbines to projects in the country.

Senvion will provide a total of 22 turbines from its 2MW platform to the projects.

Six MM92 2.05MW turbines will be manufactured for the 12.3MW Grange wind project in North Lincolnshire, north east England. It is Senvion's first contract from Blue Energy.

Another six MM92 turbines will be delivered to the 12.3MW Kelmarsh site in Northamptonshire, central England. Senvion will maintain these turbines for 20 years.

A final six MM92s will be sent to the 12.3MW Winwick development also in Northamptonshire.

Lastly, four MM82 2.05kW are being delivered to the 8.2MW Chiplow project in Norfolk, on the English east coast.

Turbines are due to be delivered to each project by the end of 2015, with completion expected at all four in spring 2016.

Blue Energy has a 345MW renewable energy portfolio, mostly in the UK, including the 20.7MW Middlewick project in Essex, south east England.
