National renewables association Apren expects around 100MW of new wind capacity in 2015, compared with 184MW in 2014 and 196MW in 2013. It is all a far cry from the 750MW installed in both 2006 and 2008.
With cumulative capacity at 4.91GW, Portugal can "very realistically" reach its National Renewable Energy Action Plan wind target of 5.3GW to 2020, according to Apren.
