The contract is for 11 V117 3.3MW turbines to go to the Rødby Fjord wind project on Zealand. According to Vestas, the project will be commissioned in the latter part of 2015 and includes a 15-year service contract.
Rødby Fjord was originally brought online in 2000 with Neg Micon 900kW turbines.
Speaking about the deal, Klaus Steen Mortensen, president of Vestas Northern Europe said: "In Denmark most wind farms are placed along the western coastline facing the North Sea. This project in south-eastern Denmark reaffirms that wind power makes sense across the country."
According to Windpower Monthly's data division, Windpower Intelligence, European Energy has a pipeline of around 583MW in Denmark with projects including the 250 Jammerland Bay and the 300MW Orno South projects.
