Vestas extends 429MW service deal in US

UNITED STATES: Vestas has been handed a ten-year extension to service its turbines at three projects in Washington state by Puget Sound Energy.

The deal covers 236 turbines, totaling 429MW, across three projects in north west US; Whiskey Ridge, Wild Horse and Hopkins Ridge.

Vestas will service 214 V80 1.8MW turbines and 22 V80-2MW turbines.

Hopkins Ridge came online 2005, with Wild Horse commissioned in 2006. Vestas has serviced the projects since and will continue to do so until 2025.

Vestas has approximately 921MW installed in Washington state, across eight projects, according to Windpower Monthly's research and data division Windpower Intelligence.
