Indian independent power producer, Orange, is developing the Khanapur project in Maharashtra, west India. The deal comes with a 'long-term' service contract.

Gamesa said the project will come online by June this year.

According to Windpower Intelligence, Orange has around 60MW online in India with projects including the 19MW Dalot project in Pratapgarh, and the 40MW Bhesada project in Jaisalmer. The developments use Vestas and Suzlon machines respectively.

In a statement about the Khanapur deal, Gamesa said it was its second order from Orange, an Indian indpendent power producer. The previous order was for 50MW to go to the same project.
