The companies have signed a letter of intent concerning the projects in Fosen and Snillfjorn in the centre of the country. The two Statkraft-led joint ventures are set to make a final investment decision on the projects in the second quarter.

As operator, Statkraft is leading the procurement process on behalf of the joint ventures developing the projects, Fosen Vind AS and SAE Vind DA.

Fosen Vind is a partnership between Statkraft, NTE, Agder Energi and TrønderEnergi. It has a portfolio of 600MW. SAE Vind's portfolio in the Snillfjord and Hitra area totals around 400MW. It is a joint venture between Statkraft and Agder Energi.

Statkraft said that the specifics of the turbine type will be decided at a later stage.
