HCI handed over the largest contract, a 50MW deal for 25 G97 2MW turbines to go to a project in Shanxi province, northern China. The turbines are expected to be delivered in May.

The remaining 42MW deal is for the Huangyan project in Zhejiang province, eastern China and is also for G97 turbines, which will be delivered in April. It is Gamesa's first deal with UPC. According to Windpower Intelligence, UPC has around 3GW in development in the country.
