Thirty-six projects are 20-50MW, and 13 to projects under 20MW. The tender was launched in November.

Qualified projects are eligible to receive a feed-in tariff (FIT) amounting to $114.8/MWh (€96/MWh) for 2,500-3,000 operating hours or $95.7/MWh for 3,100-4,000 hours for the first five years.

There is then a sliding scale for the next 15 years, varying from $114.8/MWh for 2,500 hours to $46 for 4,000 hours.

Those located on government-designated land will be granted land-use rights and benefit from environmental and technical studies the government has already carried out.

The selected companies will also receive a temporary generation licence for up to three years to allow time for further studies, completing the permitting process and securing finance.

The government plans to hold new qualification rounds every three months until it reaches its target of 2GW.
