The Danish firm sold its share in the 30MW Storrun wind project in Sweden and its stake in Norwegian development company Zephyr this month.

Dong's 33% share in Zephyr was shared between the three existing Norwegian shareholders.

Last year, Dong said it was focusing on its offshore activities, aiming to quadruple its capacity to 6.5GW by 2020.

In 2013, Dong sold its onshore wind business in Denmark to Danish utility SE and the PFA Pension fund and its onshore portfolio in Poland to local utilities Energa and PGE.

Last week, the company made a final investment decision on the 258MW Burbo Bank Extension in the UK. The project in the Irish Sea will use MHI-Vestas' V164-8MW turbine.
