The "Working at Height in the Offshore Wind Industry" and "Safe Management of Small Service Vessels Used in the Offshore Wind Industry" publications are the first guidelines to be issued by the G9.

Both reports are available for free download on the organisation's website.

The body was set up by nine of the major offshore wind developers in order to improve safety in the industry. In 2015, the G9 will be focusing on safety concerns relating to diving operations and helicopter operations.

The concerns of the Divers Association over the death of three divers at offshore wind projects have previously been highlighted by Windpower Monthly.

The G9 is made up of developers Centrica, Dong Energy, E.on, RWE Innogy, Scottish Power Renewables, SSE, Statkraft, Statoil and Vattenfall.
