The Danish developer has formed two separate joint ventures to develop a project each near the Danish coast.
The sites have been approved by the Danish Energy Agency after assessments found them favourable for development, European Energy said.
In 2012, the agency designated six sites with a combined capacity of 1.1GW for near-shore development. An average price cap of DKK 70/MWh (EUR 9.40/MWh) was set for the projects.
Orbicon has already been contracted to carry out an environmental impact assessment. This is expected to be completed in early 2015.
European Energy has a wind portfolio of 380MW largely in Denmark and Germany. Boralex is a Canadian renewable energy developer that operates 674MW of capacity in Canada, France and the US.
