Nordex will manufacture eight N117/3000 and two N117/2400 turbines to the 28.8MW Melfi I project, developed by WSB subsidiary VSB energia verde.
The turbines will be delivered in spring 2015. Nordex will be responsible for delivery, installation and will provide servicing for 15 years.
Nordex said the Basilicata region has medium wind speeds.
In May, WSB's French subsidiary ordered seven N117/2400 turbines for a project in central France.
